A Message from President James Shillitto
Brothers and Sisters, today we salute our Veterans, as we have for the past 103 years.
On November 11, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation: "To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory..."
That is the message of each Veterans Day. We have sent many, many more men and women over the years to serve our Nation in war and peace. Thus, this day now honors all Veterans.
We praise all Veterans. We are safe today because of them. May our dream of peace come to pass. Today, we thank them!
