Remembering 9/11: Honoring Our Heroes

Twenty-three years ago today, we witnessed the devastating attacks of 9/11. Our Local 1-2 members courageously stepped up to restore lower Manhattan, proving once again the strength and resilience of our community.

We honor those who lost their lives and those impacted by 9/11-related illnesses. Our members risked their own safety to make the scene safe for first responders and worked tirelessly to restore essential services.

Let us never forget the sacrifices made by our Brothers and Sisters who helped bring order to a fractured world. Their dedication and hard work continue to inspire us all.

Thank you to all the Local 1-2 utility workers who participated in the response and restoration. Your contributions were instrumental in rebuilding our city and demonstrating the indomitable spirit of our community.
